Design Software

Basic design and analysis software may be offered in the future, depending on prospective demand. Programs, generally in spreadsheet format, will be for a relatively narrow purpose.

Instructions and online support will be provided for each program. 

The following basic programs for design and analysis, and similar programs, will most likely be offered initially;

Wood beam; simple span

Wood beam; two-span continuous

Wood rafter; gable roof

Shear capacity; lag screws

Shear capacity; wood screws

Shear capacity; common nails

The following more complex programs may also be offered;

Determination of wind uplift pressure on roof surfaces; per ASCE 7

Determination of snow load on roof surfaces; per ASCE 7
